On Friday, November the 3rd Meiryukan held a mini seminar taught by two recently promoted 4 dan instructors - The Noda club representative, Tanaka sensei and the Nagareyama club representative, Noda sensei. Over 30 students from varions Meiryukan clubs, both kids and adults joined the 2 hour training.
Noda sensei focused on proper uke. Keeping the connection and giving energy. Don`t be a dead uke. Let your partner feel you so they can understand the technique.hiriki no yosei 1&2, katate mochi sokumen iriminage 1, shomen uchi sankajo osae ichi, suwari waza ryote mochi kokyu-ho 2
shomen uchi ikkajo osae 1(tachi/suwari), followed by a bunch of jiyu-waza (both right and left sides)
Following the seminar we went out for some all you can eat and drink at a nearby Taiwan style restaraunt. Good times!
