To the left, our kindergarten student tested for his chukyu (mid level). It was his first test with a technique - awesome zanshin!
The next photo is from the kids 7th kyu test. Both these little guys haven`t tested in awhle due to schedule problems, injuries etc. They were more than ready to crush it this time around. Best test of the day in my opinion!
Here we have the 6th kyu test. Not only 3 new techniques, but also the big challenge of having to remember kihon dosa renzoku. Here at Meiryukan each person goes up one by one, not as a group. No following along, no hints, all on you and how much time and effort you put in to practicing.
The adults were back to regular training. And with visitors from both the Noda and Nagareyama club we went right into things.
Yoshinkan Aikido is all about posture. We spent about 15 mins. on hip alignment, foot position, angles and width, backbone and neck.
