Last class of 2022 in Kasukabe

 Yesterday was the last class of 2022 at the Kasukabe Budokan. We also had a few visitors from both the Noda and Saitama clubs.

After warm-ups, ukemi and kihon dosa renzoku(today`s point was the angle of the front front), we went straight into reviewing basic techniques.

For the last 5 minutes or so we played around with breaking different grips. It was a fun an energetic class to finish off the year.

A couple of the kids got their new belts today. It has been a tough year for these guys, but they both worked hard through school, other activities and numerous injuries to earn the rank of 6th kyu. Congratulations!

The prior month has been test training, and last week were the tests, so today we decided to do something different and spice things up.

Worked on different ukemi, a few cool techniques, then finished with a mini demonstration.

Next Kasukabe class will be held on Saturday, January 7th. Two weeks off to relax and recharge. See you in the new year. Happy holidays!

あっという間に12月。今年もあと僅かになってきました。

道場の畳が冷たく、足の裏が痛くなる時期ですね～

寒さに負けないように体を動かして頑張りましょう！！

12/17(土)は少年部1名、一般部2名の冬の審査①がありました。

皆さんよく練習され、とても良い審査だったと思います。

春日部同好会の審査はまだ22日にありますので、受験者の方は自宅でも練習してください。

今年最後の審査はみんなで合格できるといいですね！！

Kasukabe club

Regular training 3 days a week here at the Kasukabe city Budokan.

Wednesday mornings from 9:15 we alternate Seniors class and Weapons class. Roughly 4 to 8 people ranging from white belts to black.

Thursday evening is a mixed kids and adults class from 5:45. A nice class for families.

On Saturdays the kids class is from 9:15, then followed by the adult class from 10:30. Free training till 1pm.

Now the Kasukabe club has almost 30 members, including the youngest of all Meiryukan members(just turned 3), as well as the oldest(82 next month).

Most of the Meiryukan joint events are hled here. Kind of like the Meiryukan Honbu.
 

11/5 Kasukabe

Fall tests are finished and we are back to regular training in Kasukabe. Today we worked on second control.

katate mochi nikajo osae ichi & ni (tachi,suwari)

The first point was to not twist the wrist. Relax and slide forward while cutting down.

As for the feet the focus was on turning on our toes and using hiriki no yosei ni to control and lead our partner.
 

春日部同好会9月

 9月より春日部同好会一般部にHさんがご入会されました！！これからどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

明龍館では9月より同好会・回数の制限がなくなり何処でも何回でも稽古可能になりました。春日部市民武道館でも水曜日の午前、木曜日の夜、土曜日の午前に稽古をしてます。

10月に審査を受ける方は他の同好会も含めたくさん稽古に参加して練習しましょう！！また、基本動作は自宅でも練習できます。稽古時間はできるだけ技を練習したいので、自宅でも練習するようにしてください。特に少年部の基本動作連続は1人でできるようにしっかり覚えましょう！！

Kasukabe 8/27

With what was a messed up schedule through August, the Kasukabe club is now back to regular training through September.

Saturday`s kids are from 9:15 to 10:15, adults from 10:30 to 11:30, every Wednesday adults from 9:15 to 10:15, and mixed classes on Thursday from 5:45 to 6:45pm.

Last Saturday the kids tried their hands at a new technique - shomen uchi shomen iriminage ni. Their back break falls are getting much better. A more confident uke makes things easier for shite.

In the adult class we did some shoulder grasp techniques - ikkajo & sokumen iriminage. We worked on using our shoulder and not relying on pushing or twisting with our hands.
 

夏の審査

 7/9(土)春日部同好会の夏の審査を行いました。

今回の受験者は少年部のみ。さいたま同好会の会員を含め4名が受験しました。

猛暑の中、本当によく頑張りましたね！！

6月・7月と春日部武道館での稽古が難しかったので、春日部同好会のみなさんにはご迷惑をおかけしました。

これからも暑い日が続きますが、次の審査に向けてがんばりましょう！！

8月6日に夏期特別講習会を春日部武道館で行います。

みなさん奮ってご参加ください。
