 梅雨入りして、雨でジメジメ...湿気が強く蒸し暑いので熱中症にならないように体調管理に気をつけましょう！！

6月24日の合同審査会には春日部少年部から2名が受験予定です。審査まではあと僅か。ラストスパート頑張っていきましょう！！

幼少年部はまずは基本動作、体の変更(一)・体の変更(二)・臂力の養成(一)・臂力の養成(二)から。声、手の高さ、足の向き、体の向き等、ジム先生から注意されたらできるのだから最初から頑張ればできるはず！次は自分で気を付けてやってみましょう。

基本動作の後はみんなでかかり稽古をしてから、別れて審査稽古を行いました。

次回夏の審査は7月に行います。前回審査を受験しなかった方は是非チャレンジしてください。

一般部は基本動作を相対で行った後、片手持ち二ヶ条抑え(一)・正面打ち三ヶ条抑え(一)、かかり稽古で正面打ち正面入り身投げを行いました。

Working towards shodan

With the Meiryukan joint tests coming up at the end of June, the brown belt kids have been working hard towards their shodan.

Today we practiced kata mochi hijishime ichi, suwari waza shomen uchi sankajo osae ichi, ryote mochi tenchinage ni, shomen uchi jiyui-waza.

Still alot of work to do, but the basics are getting stronger. Let`s keep at it!
 

Perfect weather for Aikido!

Spring weather is here in Kasukabe. Just a couple of more weeks till the cherry blossoms start to bloom. Perfect temperature for training, so get down to the dojo! No more excuses!

Today we worked on tai no henko ni and how to properly ride our weight on our partners hand. The techniques were katate mochi sokumen iriminage ni, suwariwaza katate mochi nikajo osae ichi, katate mochi ikkajonage
 

Last class of 2022 in Kasukabe

 Yesterday was the last class of 2022 at the Kasukabe Budokan. We also had a few visitors from both the Noda and Saitama clubs.

After warm-ups, ukemi and kihon dosa renzoku(today`s point was the angle of the front front), we went straight into reviewing basic techniques.

For the last 5 minutes or so we played around with breaking different grips. It was a fun an energetic class to finish off the year.

A couple of the kids got their new belts today. It has been a tough year for these guys, but they both worked hard through school, other activities and numerous injuries to earn the rank of 6th kyu. Congratulations!

The prior month has been test training, and last week were the tests, so today we decided to do something different and spice things up.

Worked on different ukemi, a few cool techniques, then finished with a mini demonstration.

Next Kasukabe class will be held on Saturday, January 7th. Two weeks off to relax and recharge. See you in the new year. Happy holidays!

あっという間に12月。今年もあと僅かになってきました。

道場の畳が冷たく、足の裏が痛くなる時期ですね～

寒さに負けないように体を動かして頑張りましょう！！

12/17(土)は少年部1名、一般部2名の冬の審査①がありました。

皆さんよく練習され、とても良い審査だったと思います。

春日部同好会の審査はまだ22日にありますので、受験者の方は自宅でも練習してください。

今年最後の審査はみんなで合格できるといいですね！！

Kasukabe club

Regular training 3 days a week here at the Kasukabe city Budokan.

Wednesday mornings from 9:15 we alternate Seniors class and Weapons class. Roughly 4 to 8 people ranging from white belts to black.

Thursday evening is a mixed kids and adults class from 5:45. A nice class for families.

On Saturdays the kids class is from 9:15, then followed by the adult class from 10:30. Free training till 1pm.

Now the Kasukabe club has almost 30 members, including the youngest of all Meiryukan members(just turned 3), as well as the oldest(82 next month).

Most of the Meiryukan joint events are hled here. Kind of like the Meiryukan Honbu.
 

11/5 Kasukabe

Fall tests are finished and we are back to regular training in Kasukabe. Today we worked on second control.

katate mochi nikajo osae ichi & ni (tachi,suwari)

The first point was to not twist the wrist. Relax and slide forward while cutting down.

As for the feet the focus was on turning on our toes and using hiriki no yosei ni to control and lead our partner.
